How do I get from the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to my downtown hotel?

You may choose to travel from YVR to your downtown hotel by taxi, rental car (various car rental companies are located at the airport), or by hotel shuttle bus. An approximate taxi fare (not including gratuity) is $45 cdn, compared with a shuttle bus per rider fare of approximately $15 cdn.

How do I visit Victoria in one-day?

It can be done, but it's a very long day, shorter if you choose to travel to Victoria (Vancouver Island) by helicopter or float plane. Various air transportation companies are located in Coal Harbour, near Canada Place. Most visitors choose to travel to Victoria by rental car or sightseeing bus via BC Ferries, from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (a one and a half hour car/passenger ferry ride, followed by a 35-minute drive from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal to downtown Victoria).

How do I travel from Vancouver to the world-class ski resort of Whistler?

Travel by car, bus, or helicopter to Whistler - Blackcomb. Most people drive along the scenic Sea-to-Sky highway which begins in West Vancouver, through Squamish, to Whistler. The drive is very scenic along very curvy roads. Take care and drive with caution. Approximate travel time, by car, from downtown Vancouver to Whistler is two hours (depending on traffic volume; Fridays and Sundays are the busiest Vancouver to Whistler travel days.)

What kind of weather can I expect in and around the the city of Vancouver?

It depends on the time of year you visit... Vancouver enjoys a mild climate, with sunny skies from July to September and a mixture of weather in Spring and Fall. In the winter, the city sees quite a bit of rain (keeping the landscape green!) with the occasional snowy day between December and February. The average summer (July/August) temperature high is 75 degrees farenheit.
